POTATO PANCAKES - Jola's Recipes


POTATO PANCAKES – my favorites! I love the addition of dill; it gives a perfect taste to it.




  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 bunch of dill
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of wheat flour
  • salt
  • pepper
  • frying oil


Preparation: Peel the potatoes and shred them finely. Drain off any excess liquid. Put shredded potatoes in a bowl and mix with finely shredded onion, egg, flour, and chopped dill. Season it with salt and pepper. 
Heat the oil in a frying pan and drop a spoonful of the potato mixture, flatten it to the even thickness. Repeat it until you have few pancakes in the pan. Fry each pancakes until it is golden brown on both sides. Serve immediately with sour cream or yogurt topping.
