“Murzynek” with jam

Ingredients for cake:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 Tbs jam / I use blackcurrant jam/
  • 3 Tbs cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Ingredients for glaze:

  • 3 Tbs cocoa
  • 5 Tbs sour cream
  • 3 Tbs sugar
  • 2 Tbs butter

 

  • Additionally you need 10 inch springform pan




How to make “Murzynek”

All ingredients should be at room temperature.

Preheat oven to 350 F / or 180 C/. Butter 10 inch springform pan.

In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, cocoa and baking soda.
Add milk, oil and eggs to the flour mixture and mix it with electric mixer.
Using spoon, stir in jam of your choice. Transfer batter to prepared pan.
Bake for about 50 min. Cool the cake.

How to make glaze:

In a small saucepan melt butter, and then add sugar, cocoa, and cream, stirring until smooth. Pour over the top of the ready cake.
