BEST MAYONNAISE CHIFFON CAKE

BEST MAYONNAISE CHIFFON CAKE – it takes only 10 minutes to prepare this perfect mayonnaise chiffon cake! A delicious, delicate, quick and easy fluffy chiffon cake with mayonnaise. My family have loved it for years. Definitely a must-have on your Easter table.




BEST MAYONNAISE CHIFFON CAKE

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar (1 cup = 250 ml)
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup potato starch
  • 6 tbsp mayonnaise MAJONEZ KIELECKI WSP „SPOŁEM”
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • zest of one lemon

Additionally:

  • butter to grease the mould
  • breadcrumbs to dust the mould
  • 1.7 litre chiffon cake baking mould




Directions:
All the ingredients for the chiffon cake should be at room temperature (it is very important as it helps to prevent the soggy-bottom problem). Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks. Place egg whites into a food processor bowl and beat them, adding a pinch of salt. Next, mix in the sugar, spoon by spoon. When sugar and egg whites are combined well, add yolks, one by one. Add zest and mayonnaise, then mix together. Stir in the potato starch, wheat flour, and baking powder with a spatula (don’t use the processor; stir the mixture, you can use a spoon). Pour the dough into the mould and bake in the oven preheated to 180°C for approx. 40 minutes (top and bottom; fan off). Pour icing over the top and decorate.
